March is also when the Tahunian Games take place, which include sports such as taekwondo, judo, and fencing. These sports are popular in New Zealand so you can expect a large crowd at any event you attend!

As well as its early morning programmes, March is also the month when New Zealand's Parliament resumes sitting after Christmas celebrations have ended.
